Kay Woodward

Kay Woodward has written many books for children on topics as varied as fairies, Florence Nightingale, lightning, Roald Dahl and chocolate.

Her novel Jane Airhead is published by Andersen Press in November 2009.

The Ice

She can ice-skate. A bit. Last Boxing Day, she managed a whole hour of crossovers without falling over and sees no reason why she shouldn't have the triple Axel sussed by 2032.

The Life

She was born in Barrow-in-Furness the same year that men landed on the moon, but has also lived inCarlisle, Brighton and Kinsale, Co Cork in Ireland. She now lives near the New Forest with her husband and daughter.
